Ever wondered what the price history of a product is?
When should you buy? How low can it go? Curious? Check out your favorite consumer item on this site: http://www.pricescan.com/graphs/graph.asp?Category=electronics&ItemNo=528071
The example shown will be an iPod. The LCD TVs are falling off a cliff too. What do you think of this site?

Education: Pay teachers Market rates?
How should we pay teachers in public schools?

Answer: MMP - Modified Market Pricing.
Ok, there is a debate on how to attract top teaching talent, while being fair for all. Here is my proposal:
- Pay all teachers a base rate
- Each year, based on supply and demand, add on a bonus to attract and help retain talent in areas that are harder to recruit for (e.g. math, science due to fewer qualified candidates)
- Allow the bonus pay to be set for a 3 year period, and then reset to market levels.
This concept would rely on market forces to attract new teachers into areas that are needed, while maintaining areas that are over subscribed. Here we let the market (supply and demand of a specific talent area) help to dictate prices. Has this been tried? Just Curious.

Help with Holiday Photo Cards???
Where do you do it -- a Holiday Photo Greeting Card choice point.
Hi readers (all 5 of you!). I have seen tons of holiday photo greeting cards. People go to www.costco.com, www.snapfish.com, www.shutterfly.com, www.walgreens.com etc. just to name a few. I have seen a lot of good cards, and a few that looked like the wrong photo got uploaded. I have also seen someone use PhotoShop to create a collage and text message on a 4x6 photo, and then pay $0.17 - $0.29 for a regular 4x6 that becomes the greeting card. This compares with the $0.31 - $2.50 that you can pay elsewhere. Any suggestions for me? What have you tried? What has been hard? What do you wish 'they' had to make the process easier? Send your thoughts and links.

Make money wit Web 2.0 - T-Shirts??
Hi Folks - Web 2.0, as most of you know, is the latest buzz-label for new ways of living on the web. According to John Musser and Tim O'Reilly,
..."Web 2.0 is a set of economic, social, and technology trends that collectively form the basis for the next generation of the Interntet -- a more mature, distinctive medium characterized by user participation, openness, and network effects."...
What the heck? As I get into this, people have been telling me about a company called www.Threadless.com. These guys have users submit T-shirt logos, and then vote on the best ones. The winner gets $2000 in cash and prized ($1500 cash, a $200 I12 club membership, and $300 in Threadless gift certificates.). Has anyone tried this? Seems like a cool way to make some $$ if you have talent. I may give it a shot and let you know how it goes.
